Energy Performance Certificates

Energy performance certificates are compulsory documents for every rented home in the UK.

The UK government have established a national database, which every Domestic Energy Assesor must use to create the energy performance certificate.
This way, the local authorities know whether you have one or not. If they find out you do not have a valid epc, then you can be issued with a fine of up to £5000.00 as well as being deemed an unfit person to be a Landlord.
